Wow! This is absolutely fantastic.

I’m the low experienced western cook you reference, and yup, I needed all the ingredients…. :-). This is very easy to make, very healthy, and absolutely delicious. It will definitely make it to my rotation, and I’m gonna check out more of your recipes.

Hi!
1 - In the body of the article (with pictures), the sauce is added in step 6. In the recipe card the sauce is added in step 5. It seems you just missed it 🙂
2 - It means your pineapple is not cooked enough. When pineapples are cooked fully, the enzymes will be inactivated and will not break down the meat. Try cutting the pieces smaller so they don't take as long to cook.

Thank you so much for the recipe. There are two things:
1- you forgot to mention when to put the sauce in the article.
2- whenever I cook it, the enzyme in the pineapple break down the meat/ chicken specially when it set in the sauce with pineapple make it inedible and terrible. What should I do?

The flavor profile of the sauce is great. A little spicy, a touch of salty, and more balanced than the overly sweet sauces that are all to common. I would use this over and over. I only had an English cucumber so I cut it up and put about half tsp kosher salt on it for 15 minutes then rinsed. It made the cucumber crunchier and helped it hold up to cooking. Very tasty.

I was apprehensive as I'm used to the syrupy Chinese dish but was pleasantly surprised. I had the ingredients so it was easy. I turned in my chip sticks for a spoon and fork.
