tried a few dishes and appreciate your expertise. I am stumped on finding the current most fragrant jasmine rice brand. I know some years are mediocre crops. recent scandals of 'mixing' rice has also generated mistrust of some established brands. I am in Toronto and the established premium brand is Oxhead. Recent years have not been as fragrant. However, I am sure there are more brands you might suggest that may not be available here. Nonetheless, there are a lot of brands here like Rooster, Calrose, etc. Costco Kirkland was not impressive either. What brand (s) do you recommend currently from Thailand? or Vietnam? ( though I don't trust the viet honesty on the contents ). Or is there a few names that are traced to a specific Thai distributor and the label / bag brand is filled?
